Unfortunately due to COVID19 restrictions, FLR is not able to obtain
permits to host the live race this year, however we can still help
the rescue organizations that FLR has teamed up with and earn
"paw"some swag by participating virtually!
*Participants who signed up for the live race will be notified of
changes by email.

$20 of every entry fee will be donated to non-profit/no-kill animal rescues that FLR has teamed up with. Click the registration link at the top of the page to see each races price.

A note from Four Legged Running Founder, Angela:
Hello Four Legged Running Racers,
I could not be more sad to be making this announcement. I've held out as long as I possibly could in hopes that we would be able to race again this year even with restrictions, however I'm coming to you with the unfortunate news that Four Legged Running's live race in Mascoutah, IL is no longer permitted to proceed.
Instead we are converting to an all virtual race. I know, you're thinking, "just like all the others!" However Four Legged Running is a bit excited because this is going back to our roots! When I began Four Legged Running back in 2015, it was a virtual only racing company raising funds for animals in need. In 2017, FLR hosted the first live race and we have been thrilled to be able to grow in those years by expanding our offering. So virtual racing is nothing new and fancy for FLR, it's what we were born to do!! We will still be able to support animals in need, run or walk, and earn awesome race swag!
Virtual race registration will close on October 1, 2020 - so please tell your animal loving/running friends about the virtual race so that we can continue to help non-profit animal rescue organizations as the animals still need our help!
All race entries will include one complimentary charm for your dog who accompanies you on your run or stays home to cheer you on. This charm can be attached to your medal or your pets collar! You may purchase additional charms for additional pets if you would like (for $5).
Race packets will be shipped in mid to late November. You can race anytime between now and December 31st.
For those of you wondering about FLR's virtual race fee, don't forget that $20 of every entry fee is donated to non-profit animal rescue organizations! Here is what the rest of your fee covers:
Donation ($20)
Long Sleeve, Hooded Finisher Shirt ($15-20 depending on quantity)
Finisher Medal ($5-9 depending on quantity)

Race Rules
Half Marathon participants must be at least 15 years of age by race day.
10k and 5k participants must be at least 14 years of age by race day.
No refunds issued unless the race is canceled at the fault of Four Legged Running.
Strollers are prohibited.
Pets are prohibited on the half marathon and 5k race course. This is for the safety of both two legged and four legged runners. If you have your pet on the course, you will be asked not to participate. Please remember this race is FOR the rescues not WITH the rescues. You will have an opportunity to meet some rescue animals at the end of the race as local rescues will be present with some of their adoptable pets. Your pet(s) may come with a spectator as long as they remain on a leash at all times and are cleaned up after. You must bring your own doggy do-do bags. If your pets do not get along well with other animals, please keep them at a safe distance from others and from the rescue animals present at the finish line. If your pet is very well behaved and loves other animals, please respect that this is not true of every dog present. Do not approach others who have dogs or the rescue animals unless they have told you it is safe to do so.
Weather Policy:
Race director has the authority to cancel or delay the race due to extreme weather conditions. The race may be canceled or cut short due to weather, should the event begin, but weather worsens during the course. In the event of weather cancelation, there will be no refunds.
